Terms of Service

By accessing or using AssertHired (“the Service”), operated at www.asserthired.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

AssertHired is an AI-powered mock interview platform built for QA Engineers and SDETs. The Service allows users to practice technical and behavioral interview questions, receive AI-generated feedback and scores, and track their interview preparation progress.

You must create an account to use AssertHired. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

AssertHired offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Contender and Elite). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months.

We reserve the right to modify our pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

Free accounts are limited to 1 mock interview per calendar month. Paid plans have their own monthly limits as described on our pricing page. Unused interviews do not roll over to the next month.

AssertHired uses artificial intelligence to generate interview questions, evaluate answers, and provide feedback. AI-generated content is provided for educational and practice purposes only. It should not be considered professional career advice.

While we strive for high quality, AI-generated feedback may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Scores and evaluations are meant to help you identify areas for improvement and are not guarantees of real interview performance.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or prompts used by the Service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell interview questions or AI-generated feedback
• Harass, abuse, or submit harmful content through the interview system

All content, design, code, and AI models powering AssertHired are owned by AssertHired or its licensors. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights to the platform or its underlying technology.

You retain ownership of the answers and content you submit during interviews. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of generating feedback and improving the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

AssertHired is an interview practice tool. We make no guarantees regarding employment outcomes, job offers, or interview success as a result of using the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AssertHired shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AssertHired, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party rights, or (d) any content you submit through the Service.

You may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect, in addition to posting the revised terms on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You agree that:

• Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only — class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted
• Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction
• Claims eligible for small claims court may be brought there instead of arbitration
• You may opt out of this arbitration clause by notifying us in writing within 30 days of creating your account

For European Union consumers: This arbitration clause does not apply where prohibited by applicable law. EU consumers retain the right to bring claims in their local courts in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

AssertHired shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, third-party service failures, or cyberattacks.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AssertHired regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
