    Sign in with your AssertHired account and approve access on the AssertHired screen.

    Ask in plain words. Your assistant calls AssertHired when it needs a question, a grade or your history.

Set it up

Claude

Anthropic: custom connectors(opens in a new tab)
  1. On claude.ai or in Claude Desktop, go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it AssertHired, paste the connector URL and click Continue.
  4. Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects and finish with Add.
  5. When Claude asks, sign in with your AssertHired account and approve access.
  6. In a chat, click + at the lower left, open Connectors and switch AssertHired on.
  • Claude's free plan can add one custom connector.
  • On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it first in Organization settings > Connectors. You then connect it from Customize > Connectors.
  • Connectors are set up through your Claude account, so you can use AssertHired in the Claude mobile apps once it is added.

  1. Run the command above in your terminal.
  2. In Claude Code, run /mcp, then follow the steps in your browser to sign in to AssertHired.
  • --scope user makes AssertHired available in all your projects. Leave it out to add it to the current project only.

ChatGPT

OpenAI: add a custom MCP server(opens in a new tab)
  1. On ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins).
  2. Select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Enter AssertHired as the name and paste the connector URL as the server URL.
  4. Choose OAuth for authentication, review the risk warning and select I understand and want to continue.
  5. Select Create as a plugin. Install it, and sign in with your AssertHired account when asked.
  6. In a new chat, type @ and select AssertHired.
  • Your ChatGPT plan and your workspace's policies decide whether you can add a custom MCP server. If you do not see the option, check OpenAI's help for your plan.
  • ChatGPT asks you to confirm before a tool saves anything, such as a graded answer.

Other MCP apps

Desktop apps and command-line tools that support remote MCP servers

  1. Add a remote MCP server and paste the connector URL.
  2. If the app asks for a transport, choose Streamable HTTP.
  3. Sign in with your AssertHired account when the app opens the sign-in page.
  • AssertHired works with apps that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in and finish sign-in on your own computer, as most desktop apps and command-line tools do.
  • To keep your account safe, web apps other than Claude and ChatGPT cannot connect yet.

grade_answer
Grades your typed answer against the AssertHired rubric, with strengths, gaps and next steps. The result goes into your practice history, so the Daily Drill schedules around it.
get_my_progress
Your interview scores over time, your weakest topics and dimensions, and your drill and course progress.
get_lesson
Reads the next lesson in a course you own, or one included with your Elite plan.
mark_lesson_complete
Marks that lesson done, so your course progress on AssertHired stays up to date.
prep_for_job
Paste a job description. You get the role read back (level, focus, keywords) and a matched set of practice questions.

What it can and cannot do

  • It cannot see your payment details, and it cannot change your plan or billing.
  • AssertHired only receives what your assistant sends when it uses a tool, such as the answer you asked it to grade. Your chat itself stays with the AI app you use, under that app's privacy terms.
  • Answers graded through the connector are practice only. They never count toward a Verified Assessment.
  • Disconnect any time in Settings > Connected apps. You can also remove it from your AI app.

Questions

What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI apps connect to outside tools and data. The AssertHired connector is a remote MCP server. It works in Claude, ChatGPT, and desktop apps or command-line tools that support remote MCP servers.

Which AssertHired plans include the connector?

Contender and Elite, including their free trials. It is not part of the free plan.

Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?

Claude's free plan can add one custom connector. On ChatGPT, your plan and workspace policies decide whether you can add a custom MCP server, so check OpenAI's help for your plan.

Can AssertHired read my whole conversation?

No. AssertHired only receives what your assistant sends when it uses a tool, such as the topic you asked for or the answer you want graded. The rest of the chat stays with the AI app you use.

Do connector grades count toward a Verified Assessment?

No. Answers graded through the connector are practice only. They go into your practice history and shape your Daily Drill, but a Verified Assessment is always taken on AssertHired itself, proctored and timed.

Which courses can I read through it?

Any course you own, plus the courses included with your Elite plan. Marking a lesson complete updates the same progress you see on AssertHired.

How do I disconnect?

Go to Settings, then Connected apps, on AssertHired and disconnect it there. You can also remove the connector inside Claude, ChatGPT or whichever app you added it to.
